About Mission Aviation Fellowship
Mission Aviation Fellowship uses airplanes, computers and other technology to overcome barriers to the Gospel around the world. Its people seek to serve, bringing in food, doctors, medicine, pastors, missionaries and Bibles into hard-to-reach areas. MAF is an evangelical, nondenominational, nonprofit organization with staff working in South America, Africa, Eurasia and Asia.
Our Mission (the particulars about our assignment in Indonesia)
If you watched the first American Survivor reality series, you watched an aspect of life in Borneo from your couch. We arent going there so we can compete for $1 million. But with MAF, we serve the people of Borneo, Indonesia through aviationwhich is an adventure in and of itself.
Borneo is home to the worlds largest rainforest and a rugged mountain range which make for treacherous and dangerous travel. Tribal people in the interior of Borneo could spend weeks, even months walking or taking a boat to get to a doctor. But an MAF airplane can get them there in a matter of minutes.
We both believe that God wants a relationship with everyone on earth. He is just waiting for people to respond to His offer of love. We want to be a part of sharing that love and hope to Indonesians. Thats why were there.
